Message from CS Commander, S. Chris Anders:
Gentlemen,
It is a great honor to be asked to lead the States Right Forces at this
year's Hope's Campaign. For many years the hobby has not had a good annual
tactical like we have had in years past. Many of us fondly remember the
Rouzerville events, the South Anna Tactical, the Allentown Tacticals and the
more recent Recon series.
For years now we all have been working together to better follow the
historical script at Battle Reenactments, and together we have been very
successful. However there is something missing- an event that is geared
towards accurately using period tactics on a wide open playing field.
This is where Hope's Campaign excels.
There are basic common sense rules and regulations that will be enforced,
and the event is open to both garrison and campaign troops, with both
groups equally represented.
This event is not about your button holes, though I enjoy a good one as much
as the next guy, but rather this is an event to get past the gear, to focus
on function, MILITARY function. Function not fashion- this is my goal, and
working as a well oiled military machine will assure us of success.
To that end I will expend my energies. You will find on this site several
tutorials of expected knowledge for those CS units participating, as well as
intense organization and teamwork that is the mark of any good Military
Unit.
I work for you, to provide each of you with the best experience and
opportunity to succeed. Ninety percent of any leader's responsibility is to
get the right folks, at the right place, at the right time, with the right
gear, expectations and training so that they can excel.
This is my promise to you. In return I ask that each of you approach this
worthy effort with an open mind, prepare and condition and communicate any
questions or concerns you might have.
I can be reached at
ltcolcsa@hotmail.com,
and I look forward to leading you forward on this September Morn to achieve
nothing less than total victory.
I Remain,
S. Chris Anders

P.S.
CS participants are urged to
register early, so that we may properly communicate and prepare for this
exciting event. If you do not register early and email us of your
intentions, we cannot effectively serve you or the Brigade.
